Sandy and I got together for lunch on Wednesday this
week.
She's a design colleague who's been stuck in business reinvention for the past 3 years!
That's kind of a long time to not be sure what you want, who your client is and the best path to earn moulah!
(She's been making it work with lifetime clients ~ love them. She's just itchy for a new way to do her design
business.)
Like most of us, Sandy loves to learn and has jumped into a ton of online and offline classes, coaching, programs, and more.
While I'm betting you are a lifelong learner too, I pointed out (because we are great friends) that she is full on input and needs to back off the learning and start delivering (outputting.)
She doesn't need any
more classes, programs, or coaching right now.
She needs to apply and TAKE ACTION on what she's learned.
Does that sound familiar perhaps?
Can I confess that I love to learn! And given the chance I'd stay happily ensconced in learning and maybe skip the action part. (YIKES!)
BUT (and it's a biggie)
when you do that, like I said to Sandy "you are robbing the world of your brilliance and talent."
(She got a little teary eyed when I said that. All that learning has left her lacking confidence because doing is what delivers confidence.)
