Imagine being too embarrassed to ask for a
testimonial on a project that you completed from blueprint to home furnished and the client was happy?
Sound crazy?
Well that's where Kimberly was when we started coaching. One of my first questions to her was why she didn't have testimonials on her website, her portfolio was outstanding.
She confessed that in more than one case, she'd gotten
overwhelmed. Her favorite part of any project was the finish selections, hardware, and interior details. She didn't love the decorating and furnishing pieces.
She'd get the home complete with rugs, upholstery and casegoods, but when it came to lamps, artwork, accessories and the personality layer she'd stall out. Ultimately her clients would take that piece over saying "we love what you've created for us, we're just going to finish
ourselves."
OUCH!
Kimberley struggled hugely with a lack of time management. She often was working until dinner time with her family and then she'd jump back in at 8pm until 11pm.
She wasn't getting the quality family time she knew she wanted and her family needed so she felt guilty. And she was losing the finishing touches piece of key projects
that meant no photography (she didn't feel it was her work if not finished) and too embarrassed to request a testimonial.
The self-sabotage and vicious cycle of incompletion she was stuck in was taking a toll both on her and her business.

We dove into Kimberley's processes and after doing an audit to see exactly where the breakdown was happening, installed a new
timeline tool to simplify and streamline.
It wasn't overnight, she was resistant to new ways of doing things even though she knew the difference it would make (does that sound a little familiar?)
Applying her new process to just one project to really understand how powerful it was, was enough to prove to her that she needed to implement this at the launch of every project.
She also brought her assistant to our coaching sessions so she'd learn the process as well and could take responsibility for setting it up with each project.
