It was 8am on Friday morning and I saw
Instagram flashing a notification at me.
Tim had messaged that he'd just doubled (per our coaching conversation) his flat fee on a new job and the client didn't even blink, signed and put it in the works.
Fist pump KACHING! Tim is getting far closer to being paid his worth and what he deserves as exceptional design client. (Going for triple!)
Just the day before, Hanna had her first paid initial consultation, she'd always given them away.
Fist pump KACHING! Hanna now realizes what I keep coaching, you are no less expert and talented on the first consultation than the second, third, or tenth.
Serena committed to the routine of face to face networking in her business and recently joined a closed
networking group after evaluating several groups.
Fist pump KACHING! She is already seeing results by doing consultations with a couple of members for fee that will drive referrals. YESSSSS.
There is nothing that excites me more than designers committed to their own success and willing to do what it takes to grow and earn more in a business they love.
I've heard from a lot of designers the last couple of weeks that it's slow right now, that they're anxious about where the next big project will come from, that design isn't like it used to be.
They are committed to their fears instead of being committed to their possibilities which are limitless.
What you commit to shows up.
Tim, Hanna and Serena didn't just sit back and wait to see what would happen, they took action.
They reached out to me and we began working together, changes didn't happen overnight, they happened over commitment.
And now, instead of being in a place of worry they are committed to their BIG VISION and have my support, strategies, and coaching to get them
there.
What are you committed to? When you're committed to change, let's have a conversation around what that looks like for you.
It's easy to hang out with design colleagues and commiserate on the state of what isn't happening. That's not going to change it.
In fact, according to a Forbes article I read, just this week, that's a nationwide issue for designers.
Hanging with your peers doesn't grow your business or get you clients, it also tends to keep you stuck in the mindset
muck.
Are you committed to having a thriving design practice, serving awesome clients, and loving your life?
Let's put a plan together to make that happen faster and more simply than you can alone.
Do something for you that your business will love, I'm just inside.
Let's Prosper by Design,
together.
Mega Hugs,
Melissa
