When I began in design I had a 2-page
agreement.
With each passing year, and certain projects, I added clauses of clarification and protection.
My current agreement is 6-pages, though that depends entirely on the scope of the project, since I spell that out entirely.
Your letter of agreement (same as a contract, just sounds friendlier) is your business process
roadmap.
You know that question we all get "HOW DO YOU WORK?"
Well, this is your answer to it, all spelled out in black and white (or color if you want to include it!)
In Tuesday's LIVE TRAINING at ADAC, it was fun to see the light bulb moments going off around the room for each attendee.
And it
was exciting to know that with this framework you'll stop leaving money on the table, eliminate miscommunications, and solve issues before they even come up.
Now, I know you weren't with us, but you've got just a few days to get hold of "the right design agreement."
GET IT HERE! And you'll have a chance to win a Prosper by Design Strategy to Stardom Session (totally optional, of course.)
The right design agreement will protect your practice, your profits, and your peace of mind.
And it builds client trust and confidence in your talent and delivery, that's
priceless!
Oh, and if you aren't using a letter of agreement, this will also position you as the professional you are.
In fact, just the other day, a designer in the FB Group said she was hired by a client over other designers (and she was more of an investment) because she was THE ONLY ONE with a letter of agreement and the client wanted to work with a REAL PRO.
Mega Hugs,
Melissa
PS. And if you're in the FB Group "How Interior Designers Can Prosper by Design" you get access to the Protection
Checklist and Template for Proposal (what I call Design Details.)
Have you joined?
