I'm asking because when I spoke with Marie she'd told me that she'd earned $10,500 in service income the previous month.
But something wasn't adding up, because she said she was working over 50 hours a week.
I ran her numbers and at her hourly rate of $150, she only billed 70 hours that month. Even if she only billed 30 hours a week, she'd still have seen $18K.
120 hours (30/week) x $150/hour = $18K
She was leaving $7500 on the table, and this wasn't the only month that happened.
When we started diving in, it turns out that tracking her hours wasn't easy and Marie often didn't include her hours in project management and client communication.
We explored other methods for charging, clearly hourly wasn't effective.
Marie no longer has money leaks in her design practice! She's actually making the money she deserves because she's charging for her true value without having to track hours.
(And, yes, she has hired team to reduce the workload as well, and with her revenue increase, it was an easy decision.)
So do you think that you might be having the same issue? You're working a lot but it isn't showing up in your bank account and you aren't sure why?
This is a really common problem for designers and one of the key reasons you want to find the best fit in alternative methods of billing.
And fixed fees isn't the only method, so if you're worried that won't work, come and find out what will.
The VIP savings is only available until Monday, September 23.
I really want to see 2020 be a richer year for you, without working any harder. Are you open to that?

PS. I almost forgot, here's what Marie said: "Melissa saw immediately what was wrong in my business. I'd been too close to it and was frustrated that I didn't feel like I was earning what I deserved. She showed me 3 other methods and let me choose what would work for me. I'm finally earning what I deserve and my business is better than ever!"
