Hey !
This grieving stuff is kicking my butt, so I hope you'll allow me just another week to get back to showing you how to make life work. It really does, this is a speed bump of the Mount Everest variety.
A HUGE heartfelt thank you for all of the kind words of support and personal notes of condolence. I am so very grateful to you. This week was actually tougher even than last, sometimes mornings (mourning too) last the whole day. I have several big takeaways and lessons to share, the first is this. GET OUT INTO REALITY!!
This caught me at a time where I had designed myself into a virtual corner. I had not taken the time for REAL friends and connecting face to face but had gotten complacent (another word for lazy) and relied far too much on email and the phone. I am now pushing myself out on multiple fronts with new connections, old friends, and even acquaintances. Here's what I've done in the last week and I encourage you to TAKE ACTION and get yourself out too.
- Renewed my membership at a local business club and already been to an event and made awesome new connections and picked up new business.
- Joined an all female gym, Atlanta Fitness Diva, and got endorphins flowing.
- Attended a two day, live marketing event last weekend and met 30 fellow business entrepreneurs face to face to learn more about how we can work together to grow our businesses.
This loss has reminded me, once again, not to lose sight of our lives with our business, not to lose sight of our friends with their busyness, and to calendar times for face to face regularly with no more agenda than a hug, some conversation, and some caring. Real relationships will help you prosper by design whether that is better health, deeper connection, increased profits, or dreams coming true.
I've got more lessons to share going forward and a new direction to take you in that will nurture your big dreams, support your journey, help you overcome obstacles and celebrate your successes.
