Hey ,
Ever since that fateful date a couple of years ago, who got up and stormed out of dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Wilmington, NC, when he learned my favorite radio station, (NPR, in case you have to know) I've learned to steer clear of politics. (Yes, he did pay for dinner and I sat there so stunned, I began laughing at his reaction.)
Now the funny part is that the station I listen to provides fair and balanced news, it is neither left wing nor right wing, and I'm a staunch independent. I also listen a lot to BBC because I like a global view and know that a lot of our news is highly biased. I don't tell anyone who I vote for, and I have friends, colleagues, and clients on both sides of this election. I also have friends, colleagues, and clients who listen to an assortment of news stations, I don't judge them for it.
What I am an advocate for is you and me, as small business owners. And personally, I think that we've done a far superior job in our marketing than either candidate has with theirs and we have far fewer resources. I wrote about it here, READ MORE.
See, for me, nothing much is going to change regardless of who gets into the White House. Business will go on, we may get more creative, try new strategies, channels, tools, and techniques, but we will continue on our path. As business owners we are the backbone of this great country and the amazing thing to realize is that every big business began somewhere back in time as a small business.
