Yes, I know that is a bold title, and it's true.
I invested two days this last week at a high level mastermind retreat and one of my big take aways was how complicated we all seem to make business.
Success isn't complicated, it also isn't easy.
When you do the things that are easy, your life will be hard.
When you do the things that are hard, your life will be easy.

In a room filled with 35 women who are coaches, consultants, creatives, authors, speakers, and more, the ONLY MUST HAVE steps for success are these. (This works for men too!)
1. Get out of your office (or home) and meet prospects. (Networking works.)
2. Pick up a phone to have conversations that lead to sales. (Voice to voice builds relationships.)
3. Use email and social networking as an adjunct ONLY, never a substitute. (Email is the least reliable method of getting through today.)
Said Another Way:
LIVE (face to face) trumps the phone.
PHONE (voice to voice) beats email.
EMAIL requires permission and an ability to get through filters
(you are better off with SNAIL MAIL and hand written notes.)
It doesn't matter what industry you are in, this applies to all business.
Too often I see business owners, creative, and coaches just like you, hiding behind online networking that isn't working; hiding behind email efforts that aren't getting results; hiding behind website renovations and branding changes that won't add dollars to the bottom line.
Stop hiding. You deserve to be seen, to be heard, to have your gifts and talents making a difference. Really.
Since it was a mastermind, (and even if it hadn't been I'd still have done this), I helped a lot of my colleagues and peers through their stuck places. It's what I do.
