Resolutions, Smesholutions, this works better

Published: Tue, 01/14/14

By now, ,

You know I make up my own words when I need to!

I haven't written resolutions in years,
instead I craft commitments.

This year, thanks to an awesome friend,
Kristoffer Carter and his program, This Epic Life,
I have crafted by NON-Negotiables first.

Now, KC did say I was only supposed to have five,
but limits have never been my thing so I have six!

Here they are. I'm leading by example, in hopes
that perhaps you'll invest 20 minutes in this
exercise to set YOUR 2014 up differently.

Vitality (Body Fuel)

- Exercise Daily (yes, stretching counts)

- Learn Yoga

- Explore Crossfit

- Experience Pure Barre
(new type of exercise involving dance)

Mind (Brain Food)

- Read one book per week (and review on my blog)

- Watch one TED Talk per week

- Engage in Lumosity exercises 5x a week

- Drink at least half my body weight in ounces
per day of H2O (no you don't need to know
how much or little that is!)

Soul (Spirit Sustenance)

- Meditate Daily with Insight.com
(try it on your phone, it totally rocks!)

- Continue with Morning Pages daily
  (3 journal pages a day)

- Read Daily Word daily (long time practice)

- Locate a Sunday worship service to attend

Work (Joy Juice)

- Launch my own workshop series

- Launch group coaching program
(yes, I know you've been asking)

- Present telesummit (in works)

- Speak in 10 states and 2 countries (I dream big!)

Fun (Lifestyle Energy)

- Catch 2 movies per month

- Enjoy 6 or more live theatre productions this year

- Experience 3 concerts and comedy shows or more this year

- Seek out at least one cultural event monthly
  (ArtsCard here I come!)

Relationships (Heart Nourishment)

- Visit my Aunt in Hawaii (cousins too)

- Connect with my sister in Seattle

- Meet at least 30 FB and Twitter friends LIVE

- Date regularly (hey, if it doesn't land
on the list, it isn't a priority!)

Is all of this new? Absolutely not, a lot
of my vitality and soul practices have been
in place already, I'm just pushing them a little.
Other areas have been haphazard and more random,
so it's time for DISCIPLINE and DISCOVERY.
Those are my two words (one was NOT enough, LOL)
for the year.

That's it for today, and it's the foundation
of my entire year.

Simple, focused, and ready to rock!

Are you?

Hugs,
Melissa

PS. Love to hear from you on this, just tap reply
and send me your Non-Negotiables and Words
to inspire and inform your year.
