here's your time out, !
Published: Sat, 07/26/14
Okay, , here it is,
your official time out permission slip.
Just print this email out and keep it
with you so that whenever you need to
claim your own time out, you have
permission at the ready.
Does that sound whacky?
Maybe ...
I just got back in Monday night from
a month of back to back travel, including
two coast to coast trips. With just
3 less-than-24 hour turn arounds at home
before heading back out again, I was
close to becoming a road warrior.
Something I've never aspired to!
My cats, Yin and Twiggy, were not too
happy about it despite having a wonderful
pet sitter to care for them.
I missed time on my deck surrounded
by blooming plants (hotel rooms
don't have plants!)
I missed the insane comfort of my very
own bed (which I'm finding very difficult
to leave in the mornings while traveling
I was up at sunrise daily.)
And I missed my barre, yoga, and pilates
classes almost daily. Holy Cow, that is
a monster to get back into, I ache from
head to toe with just three classes
this week.
So, BIG QUESTION for you, what are you
missing by spinning your wheels in busy
but not productive?
What are you missing by being consumed
by your business?
What are you missing by saying yes
to every new gizmo, gadget, tool,
and tactic coming your way, instead
of being strategic?
I get a lot more done in a lot less time
when I take time for life, friends (family),
health (exercise), pets, fun than when
I am BUSY all the time.
You will to.
So this weekend instead of wasting hours
on the social networks.
Instead of wrestling with another blog post.
Instead of tinkering with your website.
Instead of coming up with one more program
that you have no idea your ideal clients
even want.
Stop, and take a time out, just for you.
There is no click in this email. There is
no blog post to read. Just a BIG HUG and
a reminder to PUT YOURSELF FIRST.
Hugs,
Melissa
PS. If this idea freaks you out, let's talk
about that. I'm betting that with some
strategic guidance, you can get more done,
in less time, make more money, and have
more fun. Just reply to this email that
you'd like to have a conversation to
build a better business. HUGS!
