, this week has been a big challenge.
Have you ever given your all to something, something that you put everything else on hold for, only to find that what you thought was a great outcome wasn't what someone else expected? OUCH.
And then despite thinking that you did a great job and having lots of proof from others, you feel like a failure because that one person (who never let you know their expectations up front) says you should be disappointed? DOUBLE OUCH.
Then it all zings into my birthday and I kind of just want to disappear and hide for a while. I even thought of disallowing Facebook birthday wishes, but realized since no one mails cards anymore that would be my only avenue for good wishes.
(Cards are so darn rare these days that I totally save everyone I get except the one from my insurance company and dentist, LOL.)
Yes, , I am usually the birthday queen and insist that you have cake and candles or you miss the wisdom and only get older. BUT, this year, I just don't feel like celebrating. I have no plans at all, and my birthday is today. (No cake, no candles, guess I'm missing that wisdom!)
So, I apologize if you were looking for the usual positivity I deliver, I'll find my missing MOJO and will be sending you a GIFT from me soon.
The GREATEST GIFT would be for you to tell me what you do when you miss your mojo??
