I'm giving this up for 2015 (how about you?)

, this isn't the
email I thought I was going to be writing.

I'd planned to join the noise and push
of everyone shouting about a call, a class,
a package, or a program they are launching.

Then I thought. UGH.

I'm honestly still wrapping up last year,
savoring the highlights, and putting plans
in place for 2015.

And I don't want to rush it.

Now, for me, that is ONE BIG HAIRY DEAL!

Ever since my mom died suddenly almost
30 years ago (just walking to the hair
dressers in NYC, she collapsed with
a brain aneurysm and never came to) ...
I've had this sense of urgency.

Really beyond urgency, more like
a franticness to getting it all done
yesterday and living at the edge
of tomorrow.

It's a bit exhausting at times.

I've been missing a lot of present moments
by being so focused on the future.

Do you know what I mean?

So, instead of inviting you to a call,
instead of pitching you a package,
I'm inviting you to join me in making
2015 the year you live in the present.

I'm going to give up being in a hurry,
will you join me?

Make 2015 the year you embrace your
moments instead of missing them in the
crush of what's next.

Here's the fascinating part about living
in the now, you'll relax, breathe more
deeply, and be more aware of what you
are getting done instead of it happening
almost without you because you are
focused on next.

Focus on NOW, the moment you are in.

Feel that moment in your core.

Each moment is only yours once,
then the next moment arrives.

Savor the place you are in.

Find the gratitude for whatever is going on
(no matter what it looks or feels like.)

Know that there is a call coming up,
I'm just not rushing it.

I'm letting my moments unfold and embracing
each one as they happen instead of rushing
past the now to get to next.

Imagine slowing down to actually get more done.

It works.

A friend and mentor meditates often 90 minutes
a day. He enjoys his wonderful family with his
wife and three awesome kids, and also a full
time corporate gig he loves, and his own
entrepreneurial venture. He is in the NOW.

I began meditation last January. Now I get
more done in less time and love it more.

Today, I'm leading by example. Embrace your
now, next is coming.

HUGS,
Melissa

PS. Yes, I do have a call coming up,
LOOK FOR THE DETAILS. You'll get the
inside scoop on how you can get more
of the right things for you and your
business in less time, and love it all
a whole lot more.

PS.PS. I thinkĀ  my coach (of course
I have one) is smiling reading this since
our last conversation and others before
it have all mentioned that word I am only
just now understanding, "patience," because
it puts me (and YOU) squarely in the present.
