Here it is, already into the second month of the
new year, have you moved forward in your business?

That question is either going to elicit an
"absolutely, Melissa, I am on path with passion
and making more money with a bigger impact."
(And, I'm thrilled to hear that!)

Or, you might tell me "well, nothing has really
changed, I feel trapped in a loop of same old,
same old and ready to break free of it."
I'd say you are ready to GO BEYOND!

I get it, because imagine the shock I felt when
I was caught in that loop a few years ago and had
my coach say to me "you're hiding." WHAAAAAAT?

I was not only taken aback but didn't understand
what she was talking about, until I started to see
into my business instead of just look at it. And
realized that I wasn't really showing up. (Huh?)

I was wrestling with immense resistance to being
real. Real felt scary to me, it meant that I had
to let go of my perfectionism security blanket
(that was actually strangling me) and accept that
I am human and it's okay to screw something up
or make a fool of myself occasionally.
(Are you kidding?)

Since that time, I've read a lot of Brene Brown
and watched her TEDx and TED Talk on vulnerability.
I was the poster child for not being vulnerable.
(It also manifests as not being willing to ask
anyone for help or support. Most of my clients
have struggled with this one.)

During the last decade, I've always worked with
a coach (sometimes more than one at a time),
and what I've learned is that change may feel
incredibly slow, and then you experience
a massive shift in a nanosecond and everything
changes. (It's kind of like magic for me.)

I've had a week like that, this week. It's been
a bit of a wild ride. The week began in resistance,
it felt like my coach was pulling teeth. Then
I felt a shift, I let go, and stepped into flow.

, would you like to feel that shift?

It might sound scary, and perhaps I should be
scared, but I just feel relief and I didn't even
know what I was resisting. (Well my coach did
mention that I had a burning need to be right and
that often precludes progress both major and minor.
So many lessons to learn and to share.)

Can you let go and imagine going beyond
where you are now?

I've already imagined it for you, and can tell
you your best is waiting on the other side of what
you're resisting. (Remember that old cliché,
"what you resist, persists?" It's true, I've lived it.)
