I thought about you this morning when
I read this quote:

"The illusion of the world is that other people
have the power to make us into something we are
not. The truth is that we are already everything,
and no one outside of ourselves had the power
to add to, or diminish, our wholeness. In spite

spent a great deal of time chasing illusion that
the power rests somewhere other than in our
own hearts and minds."

I know I've given up my power in the past ...

Waiting for someone to tell me the time was right
(it's not up to anyone else)

Waiting for someone to give me permission
to succeed (and I'm a grown up!)

Waiting to be discovered
(yes, I was hiding foolishly)

Waiting for it to be safe
(like that's ever going to happen!)

In recent years I've reclaimed my power.
