the #1 ACTION to take to get clients in the door in the next 10 days

Published: Sat, 05/09/15

Leave your house!

Yup, get out from behind your computer
screen and attend an event, (if you
can’t find an event, look at meetup.com)

I know, it might feel scary but the
good news is that most of the people
there feel the same way you do. So you
are in very good company.

Waiting for SEO to deliver the right
traffic to your website that you can
then convert into clients, is either
not working at all or is taking
a very long time.

Waiting for your social media efforts
to pay off is also going to take time.

Stop waiting and start connecting with
people voice to voice (old fashioned but
phones do still work) and face to face!

This is particularly important if you are
in a “trusted advisor” role, like an
Accountant, an Attorney, a Chiropractor,
a Holistic Healer, a Coach, a Consultant,
and a Designer (doctor of the home).

The internet is where we research
service providers we’ve heard of,
not usually where we go first to find
a “trusted advisor.”

If we happen to find you online we are
going to look first for testimonials
and secondly to see if anyone we know
has used your services.

You can connect far faster in live
networking. You aren’t asking for
business, you are leading by being
of service to others and finding out
how you can be a resource for their
continued success.

Stop tinkering with your website
or waiting for it to be perfect.
It’s not your biggest magnet.

You are your greatest asset when
it comes to getting new clients.
Hiding behind your computer, safe
at home is keeping you safely
without enough clients.

In the week ahead, make a plan to
get out of your home office.

If you can’t find a networking group
(and I’ve been known to do the
googling for my clients when they
tell me there is nothing in their
area, YES there is), then go to
a Starbuck’s, or to a deli at lunch
time, or to a restaurant with a bar
in the evening, or to the soccer
field when there’s a game on.

My message to you is to GET OUT
AND MEET PEOPLE face to face.
Working in isolation is keeping you
playing small, it’s lonely, and it
leaves you alone with your doubts.
Get out and play your bigger game.

Now, go do it!

MEGA Hugs,
Melissa
