do you believe you?

Notice, I didn't say believe "in" you.

I simply said, do you believe yourself?

One of the biggest challenges service
based business owners face is getting
enough clients on board (enough
of the right kind of client.)

And, one of the biggest reasons for
this struggle is on some level
(and sometimes many levels) they
don't believe themselves.

This shows up when you are having
a conversation with a prospect and
as you are speaking, that annoying
little voice on your shoulder
quips up with such gems as

"you don't know what you're talking about,"

"you have no experience in this,"

"are you sure you can deliver on that promise?"

Your doubts start speaking to you
and you start to doubt yourself.

The hideous part about this is that
your prospect can feel that from you.

They won't necessarily know exactly
why they don't want to buy, they just
don't feel comfortable.

You are transmitting your insecurity.
It can happen to everyone.

Here's how to STOP IT:

Write down on a pad of paper, your
5 most common doubts, leave three
lines between each one.

Now, under each one, go ahead
and write the opposite.

Then, on that second line, write the
name of a testimonial, case study,
or example from your experience that
counters the original doubt.

Once you have countered each doubt
with evidence and experience, keep
that pad in sight during your
next prospect call.

(If you make calls in person, transfer
this to an index card and read it over
a few times before you meet in person.)

You are in charge of your thoughts.

It's hard to banish negative thoughts
without proof to disprove them.
Here's your proof!

Have a positive thought filled
weekend and believe you!

Hugs,
Melissa
