How was your Fourth of July holiday?
I hope you took time off and enjoyed
it with family, friends, food and fun.

The guys in my neighborhood were up
at 5:30 on Saturday morning getting
the barbeque going and drinking bloody
marys and beer. We had a feast by 2pm.
While it was a bit rainy and unseasonably
chilly, it cleared up in time for
spectacular fireworks. I'm a total sucker
for the waterfalls of dazzling colored
sparks and what I call "twinkle and
twizzler" fireworks that pop and create
a cascade of festive sparkles.
Fourth of July means the year is
30 days past half over and I want to
