Just yesterday I spoke with an interior designer who is relaunching her independent practice in 2016.
She has no database (lost it due to a nephew who decided to take apart her computer and couldn't put it back together.)
She has no portfolio (she's been working for design firms for the last five years.)
She has no testimonials
(never thought they were important so never got them.)
And her biggest question to me was which business management software program should she invest in.
I said, NONE!
Her job #1 even before she fully steps away (she's already given notice) from her paid position is to establish a professional presence and start rebuilding relationships that will land her clients.
, are you busy searching for the right tool, software,

Recently I had a conversation with a marketing consultant. He was doing social media for very small assisted living facilities.
He was complaining that his ideal client didn't have the budget to work with him (and remember, you don't want to work with a budget, you want to work with an INVESTMENT!)
They didn't have the budget because they were too
small to be his ideal client and he needs to uplevel his ideal client to larger facilities that do need marketing consulting and have the investment to pay for it.
