did you notice?

In all the hubbub of the holidays, I took the last 10 days off email!

Oh wait, I mean I haven't been in touch with you for 10 whole days.

I've missed you, !

I needed to take a PAUSE and recommend you GIFT YOURSELF one too.

Pausing leads to more possibilities, more productivity, and more profit! And for some ways to make it happen, check out "7 Simple Steps for a Happier Holiday," just below.

For me, this time of year is about letting go of what isn't working in my life (and business), who isn't working in my life (and business), and claim a fresh start.

I kind of think of the holidays as THE PERFECT TIME TO REBOOT YOUR LIFE & YOUR BUSINESS!

What do you FOCUS on this time of year?

Here are 7 Steps to a Happier Holiday Season (PICK YOUR FAVORITE AND LET ME KNOW)

1. Delete the Electronic Clutter ~ dump old emails, electronic files you no longer need, and digital distractions. You'll feel lighter and brighter in no time. Make space and speed for a new year of profit producing work, programs, and connections.

2. Give a Bag of Clothes (or 3) to Goodwill ~ what you don't wear anymore is a wonderful gift for someone in need (SECRET CLOSET TIP: Turn all of your hangars backward at the close of this year, as you wear an item, turn the hangar forward. At the end of 2016 you'll easily see what you never wore and can let it go.) Make room for new fab items in the space you clear.

3. Destroy Out of Date Food in Your Pantry and Refrigerator ~ we all push expiration dates, not always a good idea, and, frankly, if it doesn't expire do you really want to be eating something that laden with chemicals?? (Cheez whiz is not a food group, neither is Vienna sausages.) Make room for eggnog, turkey, and holiday cheer!

4. Clear Off Your Desk (and Office) ~ that's right, if you are buried in piles (I love my piles) and unfiled inspiration or half finished projects, give yourself permission to let it go. If you don't, you are likely to end up with a brand new raft of unfinished projects on top of the old in the new year. Make room for bold new projects that you will complete and prosper from in the new year.

5. Funnel It Through Your Own Filter First ~ whenever you get advice, listen to an expert, or invest in a program be sure to run the information and recommendations you are getting through your PERSONAL FILTER to see if it fits in with who you are and what you do best. Just because someone told you to do something, does NOT make it a perfect fit for you. Make 2016 the year you tune into your inner expert and intuitive guidance.

6. Get Rid of Gifts You Don't Love ~ I appreciate this may sound shocking but whenever I give a gift to anyone, I always say "this gift is for you, you can do whatever you want with it, including re-gift it, return it, or recycle it. I will never check on it, it is yours." A gift you give and then have conditions on how it is used, displayed, or otherwise consumed, is not a gift. Make this season the time you become give yourself the freedom to be generous without expectation or condition.

7. Enjoy a Digital Free Day (or MORE) ~ Unplug yourself from your laptop, iPad, cell phone, and any other electronic devices. Allow yourself a chance to be completely untethered. (I try to do this at least one day a week and it makes a HUGE difference in my productivity and energy.) Make this the time you take back your life from technology and embrace the magic of the season without the electronic chatter.

Melissa
