(Tool Time Tuesday) my favorite happiness tool

Most of my life, I've worked against my brain.

I struggle with long term depression and have since I was a teenager.

While I'm recognized as a coach and motivational speaker, there are days when I don't want to get out of bed, and it's just my brain beating me up.

Over the years I've created an arsenal of tools to combat these feelings, since I don't want to be on meds (my choice.)

One of them is what I call my HAPPINESS TOOL.


You may recognize this tool, it's TED Talks and TEDx Talks.

The talks, given by experts from around the world, are truly transformative.

They take life and work changing concepts, wrap them in engaging stories and deliver them in less than 18 minutes.

When I watch a TED Talk, I can put myself in that audience and completely forget where I am and the negative feelings I'm navigating.

It gives me tools for HAPPY.
