This morning I got an email from a client with a link to this Dove study.
I'd seen it before, but it had been a long time and when I looked again, I knew it was the perfect send for you today.
Dove asked a forensic artist to sketch women's faces by their own descriptions.
He didn't see them, they were behind a
curtain.
Once he did that sketch, he invited someone who'd met them to describe them.
It is rare for any of us to truly see how beautiful we are, how talented we are, and
the gift to the world that we are.
My simple desire for you today is for you to look in the mirror and really see who you are.
And that's what I want you to do.
I want you to see into your own magnificence, see into your brilliance, see into your beauty and appreciate it right now.
This may make you wildly uncomfortable.
You may refuse to do this.
You may be blushing as you read this, or
even wanting to close this email.
Please don't.
When you do you are closing yourself off as your gift to the world.
Your clients and potential clients need your gifts, they need your vision, they need your experience.
Your family and friends want your beauty to shine through from the inside
out.
The world can be ugly or beautiful depending on whether you are looking at it or seeing into it...
Embrace all the parts of you.
We all have faults.
We all have scars (visible and invisible.)
We all have signs of wisdom (you can call
them wrinkles or age spots.)
This isn't about a size, a shape, a color, a race, a religion, an age, or anything else.
It's about the gorgeousness that comes with being a unique human
being.
Hug your humanness today!
Sending EXTRA Hugs your way,
Melissa
