The
voice mail I got from Marcia sounded frustrated, disappointed, and even a little pissed off...
At herself.
Because she'd broken her promise to herself to say "NEXT" to any potential clients who weren't the right fit.
And she was in the midst of a big mess with a client who was EXACTLY the wrong fit.
Marcia was frustrated because she'd sensed this before taking this client on, BUT (and it's a big one) she was hungry and had room in her schedule.
She also didn't have anyone to ask about it or check in with.
She had no accountability.
If she'd had a weekly accountability partner, she could have voiced her concern
and gotten some fast insight that would have kept her out of a bad client relationship and open to "NEXT."
We all get hungry.
The trouble is that when you get hungry in business, your judgement starts to slide and without someone there to keep you on track, you are likely to say "YES" when you meant to say "next."
