5 ways to get more design clients in the door

When Nikki found me, she was doing exclusively 1:1 design work.

She loved it for the most part, but wanted to create additional streams of revenue that were potentially less labor intensive and allowed her to package her talent in smaller chunks.

The first avenue we looked at was specialty consultations.

Instead of making it about full service design every time, Nikki said she loved to do color consultations and art and accessory consults.

I worked with her to create profitable packages around these and add them to her service offerings.

She was excited about it and found that it quickly set her apart and gave her a market edge because often these seemingly smaller opportunities led to larger commitments and lucrative projects.

The specialty consultations give clients an easy way to experience Nikki's talent, process, and personality.

That opens the door to more full service design at a new comfort level and with less client resistance to 5-figure and 6-figure investments.
