are you losing time to this...

This week, I spent over 5 hours studying and taking practice tests for an exam that never happened.

I failed to trust the fact that I'd been living the material for 30 years and didn't need to study it, and I also misunderstood the directions indicating the test was only administered if the examiner felt you needed it.

Clearly, he didn't feel I needed it.

Those hours I lost to both preparation and anxiety could have been invested in designing a new program (been doing a lot of brainstorming on that one).

I could have put together a couple of new packages I've had requests for, instead of stressing over something that never even took place.

YIKES.

How many times have you anticipated something or worried about something and it never happened?

For me, it's an incredible waste of time and energy that I'll never get back.

Time is our greatest non-renewable resource.

We seem to never have enough and we never know when we'll run out (you got a birth certificate, but there's no expiration date on it.)

How often do you find yourself second guessing yourself only to find out you were right in the first place?

Your gut is your most valuable asset (next to your heart) in business and life.

Trusting yourself and letting go of worry and false anticipation will save you time and life force energy.

It will also give you back 5+ hours a week in most cases.

(If you aren't one who ever worries, stop reading now and go have a fabulous day.)

Let go of the "WHAT IF" and step into "WHAT IS" that's all any of us know and can work with.

If something changes it will become your new "WHAT IS NOW" and you'll deal with it then.

The moment you are in, is the only moment you have.

The next one isn't guaranteed. This isn't morbid, it's simply "WHAT IS."

How do you feel in this moment? Without anticipation, without second guessing, without "WHAT IF."

I'm betting your moment can feel pretty darn good, it's all the thoughts around it that rob you of your joy in it.

This weekend, whether it's a holiday for you or not, FIND MORE JOY IN YOUR MOMENTS by focusing on the one you are in.

Let go of the tendency or habit to anticipate, it will strand you in worry and stress.

Find your magic in the moment you are in and then allow the next moment to unfold into "WHAT IS."

I'm enjoying just a couple of days in Highlands, got renters due in tonite.

Every moment here is magical and I'm savoring them.

And when I return to Atlanta, each moment there will be magical and I'll savor them. IT'S MY CHOICE, WHAT'S YOURS?

Hope you enjoy time with family and friends to relax and recharge this weekend.

Mega Hugs,
Melissa

PS. For me, a truly prosperous business and life is less about doing and more about how I'm being, I want to invite you to place of BEING IN JOY.
