How to awe and amaze your clients every time... (follow up)

I had dinner just this week with a group of girlfriends and one, new to the group, commented that she'd blown through a dozen designers to get her project done.

Needless to say I was alarmed and wondered if she was difficult to work with. She was the founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar company and had recently sold the company. (Money wasn't an issue.)

Then she explained that the designers she contacted had no follow up. They'd either fail to return her phone call or fail to follow up after the first phone call or even after the consultation. In some cases, they failed to follow up with an agreement and scope of work. YIKES!

The one she finally hired, failed to collect his balance, how crazy is that? She was actually trying to reach him to pay him.

Your fortune is in your follow up, never doubt that.

Clearly these designers need a follow up process, simple, effective and gets and keeps great clients.

You may be in the same place. Many of the designers I coach, like to dismiss follow up as something a creative just doesn't do or they don't know how.

No excuses, follow the process here for your current projects. Stop leaving money and opportunity at the door of your business.
